I’ve never done this before.  Where do I start?
AWith a simple phone call.  We will set up an appointment, at the potential project site, to give you an estimate for your project. There is no fee for the initial consultation.
What do I need for the first meeting?
AYour ideas, goals, and budget are a great start!  If available, a land survey on hand will expedite zoning reviews.
I’ve had my initial consultation, now what?
AElevate Construction will define the scope of the work as discussed and create a quote based on the discussions. Typically, you should receive the quote 1 1/2 weeks after the initial consultation.
How does Elevate Construction know what to quote without having a complete design plan?
AWe will assess the project as presented in discussion, and advise you regarding the process you will use toward attaining your goals.

The proposal we present will will include allowances for changeable aspects of the project; if the allowance is exceeded, the difference is
handled as an extra. As a simple example, let’s suppose that our bid allows for $600 for a 6 ft bathroom vanity ($100/ft). The vanity you
pick out is $900 ($150/ft). The difference, $300 ($900-$600), is an extra, and will be added to your final bill.

What if we want to make changes to the proposal?
AThe proposal is only the beginning. It is expected that improvements/changes will be made throughout the planning and
construction process. These changes are addressed by addenda to the contract. Minor changes may require no addendum, while major
changes may require substantial changes to the projected budget.
What are your payment terms?
ATypically we expect a deposit of 5%, and 4 – 6 payments throughout the construction process at predetermined intervals.
Who is responsible for permit applications and fees?
AElevate Construction will complete the forms and apply for permits. Once permits are approved, the homeowner will pay the permit fees in their municipalities. Brown & Glynn will coordinate all inspections.
How long before work can start?
AAfter plans are conceived, and permits have been issued, work can usually begin within two weeks.
How long will my job take?
AProbably the most common question we encounter. Each job is different, so broad generalities are difficult. Window replacement may take as little as 1 day, while an addition may take 3 months to complete. Elevate Construction will give you a projected start date, as well as a projected completion date for your project, based upon the scope of the work required.
Who will supervise my job?
ADepending on the scope of the project, there are a number of Elevate Construction supervisory personnel that may be assigned to your whole job, or just different portions of it. All supervisors will be introduced to you as they become involved with your project.
What if I have a problem, concern or a question during the project?
AElevate Construction has a knowledgeable in-office staff that can resolve resolve any questions, or concerns you may have. They can be reached weekdays from 8:00 AM thru 5:00 PM.
Does Elevate Construction use subcontractors?
AElevate Construction personnel have expertise in many of the trades required for completion of your job. However for larger jobs, (e.g. Additions), portions of the work will be subcontracted (e.g. Electrical and Plumbing) for speed and efficiency. All coordination of the subcontractors will be handled by Elevate Construction.
